Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule sessions?

When ready, Kim will send you a private link to book the 5 consecutive appointments (Foundational Program). We will want to make sure each appointment is scheduled every 7-10 days in order to build consistency and momentum. This means that our Foundational Program will span a 5-6 week span. It will be important to consider not just the time for our sessions but the homework to be worked in between each appointment.

What days of the week do you take appointments?

We offer appointments on Mondays and from Wednesday-Saturday. Tuesdays are an option if it was a need for you, but Sundays are for family. It’s important to note that Saturday appointments are the most popular and book out pretty far in advance so if weekdays can work for you, we can likely begin our work much sooner. Keep in mind that when the hot summer months arrive, this schedule gets grossly restrictive. BUT, please learn about our TCR’s Swim Camp and considering joining that to work your reactive dog this summer.

How much work is this for me?

Honestly, a lot…as this is the only way to promise long term results! It’s not important nor impressive that your dog(s) are good with a trainer. The real task is teaching dog parents how to replicate the same relationship and results. Therefore, our approach is relationship and lifestyle focused. Putting the work and responsibility on pet parents to better read their pup’s cues, satisfy their needs and communicate in ways they understand.

What happens after the 5 appointments?

After the foundations are laid, we will all be speaking the same language -equipped with the tools and understanding about what you and your dog need to maintain fulfillment and success. Training continues in many different forms… “leveled up” private sessions that challenge your foundations and dig in to the sticky spots, daytrains, Board to Behave programs, discounted Club Events, customized in-home Boarding, Swim Club and soooooo much more.

Pricing?

The 2 hr consultation costs $450 and includes 1 hr of discussion with questions and answers from both Kim and you in order to build a treatment plan. Then we spend hour of hands-on training to serve as your homework that week.  Follow up appointments are each $200 for 1hr, $350 for 2hrs and are meant to layer on each time with more knowledge and skills on how to better understand your dog and what you need to do to help the. You will need to schedule a Consultation and 4 Follow Ups to complete your Foundational Program. Payment is not required up front, rather it will be collected via Venmo, Cash or Check after each appointment.

What else does this price include?

As part of this highly successful program, you will also get access to specific private e-books and proprietary training documents (reserved only for clients Kim is working with directly).  Because we limit how many new clients we intake, you will have Kim’s full attention and direct access to her for training questions and advice any day of the week (except maybe Sundays because that’s a family day). Videos are exchanged and coaching through the homework and is included in the price.
